Beckermann switches and sensors include:

Coolant Temperature Sensors
Ensures the engine does not overheat by measuring the temperature of the engine coolant.

Air Temperature Sensors
Monitors the temperature of the air flowing into the engine. The sensor can also be used to monitor interior and exterior air temperature as part of the vehicle comfort settings.

Radiator Fan Switches
When the radiator reaches a predetermined temperature, the switch triggers the electric fan to run in order to cool the engine.

Oil Pressure Switches
Warns the driver if the oil pressure in the engine becomes too low.
